Our decaf coffee subscription sends a 12 oz bag of decaf from a different independent Massachusetts roaster in every box. Choose decaf as the style, then a roast level, whole bean or ground, and every 2 or 4 weeks. Decaf is $16.99 a bag, the same as any other roast. First bag free, you pay $7.99 shipping.
If one person in the house drinks decaf and the other does not, choose two bags and set the second to its own style. Set your box to decaf.
How Massachusetts roasters decaffeinate
Decaf starts with a method for taking the caffeine out, and roasters choose different ones. Here is what roasters on our list say on their own sites, as checked on 2026-09-27. We list them as local favorites; this does not mean any of them fills a club box.

Two more worth knowing. Gracenote in Boston builds its decaf program on the idea that decaf should be judged by how it tastes, not by what it lacks. Speedwell in Plymouth gets its decaf Colombia from the same Tolima farm and producers, Elias and Shady Bayter, as some of its regular lots. Neither names a method on the pages we read.
Why decaf from a local roaster
Jaho in Salem sells a dedicated decaf subscription. Armeno in Northborough offers its Sumatra decaf in three roast levels. Those are roasters treating decaf as coffee worth building around, and buying decaf from them keeps that choice alive in Massachusetts. Which decaf method will my bag use?
That depends on the roaster who roasts that box, since each one decaffeinates its own way. The table above shows the methods that some roasters on our list name on their own sites; others sell a decaf without naming the method.
Can I mix decaf and regular coffee in one box?
Yes. Choose two bags and set one to decaf and the other to any style you like.
Can I choose a roast level for decaf?
Yes. Pick light, medium, dark or mix it up along with the decaf style.
