What is in the box
The roaster's own 12 oz bag, in the roaster's own packaging. We do not repack anything. With it comes our packing slip, which tells you who roasted the coffee, where their shop is, a bit of their story and what to taste for.
The slip is the point. Take two roasters we list: Barrington roasts in Lee, in a roastery its two founders designed in the Berkshire woods, where both still roast the day's coffee. Three Fins roasts at its coffeehouse on Main Street in West Dennis. Whoever roasts your bag, the slip tells you who they are and where to find them if you want more.
Who roasts it, and how we pick them
Every roaster we list is independent, roasts in Massachusetts, and was operating when we checked. They run from the Berkshires to the Cape: Barrington in Lee, Shelburne Falls Coffee in Greenfield, Dean's Beans in Orange, Armeno in an old mill in Northborough, Red Barn in Upton, Speedwell in Plymouth and Snowy Owl in Sandwich, among others.

How much is a coffee subscription here?
$16.99 a bag, any roast, and your first bag is free: you pay $7.99 shipping on that first box. Espresso, decaf and single origins cost the same as everything else.
Can I skip, pause or cancel?
Yes, online, anytime before the next box is roasted. The reminder email 3 days before each box has links to skip a box, pause, change your card or cancel.
What if I do not like a bag?
Tell us, and a different coffee goes out at no charge. That is the promise: free replacement if a bag disappoints.
Can two people with different tastes share one box?
Yes. Choose two bags and give the second one its own roast and style, for example a light single origin for one of you and a decaf for the other.
Do you ship outside Massachusetts?
Yes, anywhere in the US. The coffee is roasted in Massachusetts and mailed from the roastery to wherever you live.
