Three Fins Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Massachusetts: an independent roaster based in West Dennis. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
Owners Ron Reddick and Catherine Bieri spent their careers in wireless technology, including more than 12 years abroad helping mobile operators launch their businesses, and got to know many coffee houses while travelling in Europe and Africa. After moving to Cape Cod they looked for a way to live and work there, chose coffee, and saw that true coffee houses were rare on the Cape. Three Fins grew out of that. The company describes itself as woman and veteran owned, and as a Cape Cod coffee roaster that also makes craft chocolate from cacao and organic cane sugar.
It focuses on fair trade, small farm and small lot specialty coffees and works out a roast profile for each coffee each season. In 2026 it described a direct trade partnership with Iliana Delgado of Finca Porvenir in Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, an organically farmed estate that supplies both coffee and cacao. Its Colombia Isabelita coffee and chocolate come from the Delgado family farms. Its wholesale program serves Cape resorts, inns, grocers and offices with coffee, cold brew kegs and tea, plus barista training, menu help and equipment as an authorized reseller of brands such as Fetco and Rocket Espresso.
What they roast
Roast levels run medium and dark. House blends include Point Break House Roast (medium, Brazil-forward), Cape Time, The Cape House Blend, Beach Bum Espresso, Longboard Espresso, Endless Summer cold brew, French Roast and Shaka Half-Caf. Single origins on the list when we checked: Ethiopia Misty Valley, Costa Rica Los Santos, Guatemala direct trade organic and Colombia Isabelita organic dark roast. Longboard Espresso is a Central and South American blend built for espresso and milk drinks, and Beach Bum Espresso is a second espresso option. Colombia Timana Huila Decaf, plus the Shaka half caf. Decaf method not stated on the pages read. Offerings change with the seasons, so this is what their own pages listed on 2026-09-27.
