Restoration Coffee is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Massachusetts: an independent roaster based in Bridgewater. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
The company describes itself as a small batch roaster that roasts specialty coffee to order from growing regions around the world. Besides its four cafes it runs coffee catering and a wholesale program for local partners. Founder Matt worked as a mechanic for BMW and Tesla and as a wedding photographer and carpenter before coffee. He designs and builds out each of the shops himself.
Heather, part of the company from the start, became chief executive in 2021 and oversees operations and HR. Roasting moved in-house in late 2019. Matt did all of it for the first few years before training barista Lindsey, now head roaster, to take over.
What they roast
House blends include Brave and Bold. Single origins on the list when we checked: Shine (Ethiopia). Decaf: Standstill. Offerings change with the seasons, so this is what their own pages listed on 2026-09-28.

Why buying from Restoration Coffee matters here
The roastery sits out of sight inside the Whitman shop, though customers there can often smell the beans roasting. Catering packages bring baristas, equipment, cups, milks and house syrups, priced by the hour or by guest count; custom branded cups need three weeks notice.
Every bag bought from a Bridgewater roaster pays roasting and cafe wages in Massachusetts, and the coffee reaches you days after roasting instead of months. That is the reason the club exists. Why local roasters matter.
