Their story
The name is Italian for understood, which the owners use as a nod to knowing their coffee. All coffees are roasted to order on weekdays and shipped across the country, and the company says every coffee it buys is fair trade certified. Its Superhero Blend, a medium-dark mix of Guatemalan, Colombian and Brazilian beans, is sold with a playful superhero theme.
A catering arm sets up espresso and pour-over bars for weddings, corporate events, festivals and film sets, and can staff long-running coffee pop-ups in offices. The Colombia it uses in many blends comes from Huila, a honey-processed lot of Caturra and Typica grown at 1,600 to 1,950 meters.
What they roast
Roast levels run medium and medium-dark. House blends include House Blend, Superhero Blend and Cold Brew Blend. Single origins on the list when we checked: Ethiopia, Colombia, Peru, Guatemala HueHue, Brazil, Honduras and Nicaragua Jinotega. Espresso: Espresso Blend.
