Their story

The coffeehouse opened in downtown Lowell in 2005 and poured Equal Exchange coffee from the start. In 2015 it began roasting its own line, still alongside Equal Exchange, and branded it The Art of Coffee in tribute to Lowell's arts scene. It is certified by Lowell Green Restaurants and uses mostly compostable or biodegradable cups and containers.

Its catering covers meetings, holiday parties, showers and similar events, with continental breakfasts of coffee, juice, muffins and bagels. The shop says fair trade coffee is all it serves or roasts.

The downtown coffeehouse is open seven days, from early morning until 9pm.
