Jejes Coffee Roasters is one of the beloved local roasters we follow in Massachusetts: an independent roaster based in Wellesley, founded in 2020. Here is what their own pages and public sources say about them, in our words.
Their story
The roaster started in 2020 and opened a coffeehouse in spring 2023 so customers could taste its coffee brewed on site. Beans are hand roasted by Soonhee, whom the site calls a US Coffee Roaster Championship finalist, and are certified kosher for Passover all year. The home page also lists a coffeehouse and roastery at 112 South Main Street in Sharon, open by appointment.
It is a small family business with a tight weekly rhythm: Monday is given over to roasting, and baking fills the early mornings from Tuesday to Saturday. Five or six different coffees cover espresso, decaf, batch brew, Dutch cold brew and pour-over. The batch brew changes daily, and the Dutch brew uses a blend not sold by the bag. The shop skips flavored syrups, offering only a house organic simple syrup, and after testing many milks it settled on 2 percent and oat.
