What Atlas does well
Atlas has a clear idea and sticks to it. Every shipment is one country, and the box explains it: a postcard from that country, tasting notes and some coffee history. If you want to learn how a Rwandan coffee differs from a Colombian one, a new country each month is a direct way to do it, and no single state's roasters can promise that spread of origins month after month.
It offers more sizes than we do. There is a 6 oz half bag for light drinkers and up to four 12 oz bags per shipment for heavy ones, and it sells pods for Keurig and Nespresso Original machines, which we do not.
Its gifts give the buyer choices we do not: a quarterly schedule that sends three bags every three months, email delivery with a claim link, and a first ship date you set at checkout. The 3, 6 and 12 month gifts list at $60, $109 and $199 with free US shipping, and gifts end on their own.

What we do differently
Our coffee comes from one state, on purpose. Atlas chooses a country; we choose a roaster in Massachusetts, from Acton and Cambridge to Salem, Worcester, the Cape and the Berkshires. A local roaster is a business you can walk into, with people on its payroll who live here, and its bag makes a shorter trip to your door. Why Massachusetts roasters matter.
You pick the roast and the style. Atlas lets you choose light to medium, medium to dark or all roasts, and its decaf comes in a medium roast only. Our plan builder offers light, medium, dark or mix it up, with single origin, blends, espresso-friendly or decaf, whole bean or ground. Because Massachusetts roasters make blends, espresso and decaf as well as single origins, a bag from us is not always a single origin.
Two bags means two roasters. Choose a two-bag box and the second bag comes from a different Massachusetts roaster, with its own roast and style if you want. That suits a household where one person drinks light single origins and the other wants a dark blend.

On September 27, 2026, Atlas's plan page listed $20 per shipment for one 12 oz bag, $34 for two and $13 for a 6 oz half bag, before a sale that lowered the first shipment. Check its site for the current price.
Can I choose which country Atlas sends?
No. Atlas's help center says it offers one country per month for all subscribers, so you cannot pick the country.
